ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS

Below contains information regarding ensemble auditions for the Brighton Bands. There is a place for students of all skill levels within our program, and all students are asked to audition to appropriately place you within the ensembles.  

Audition Requirements 

Band:

  1. Major Scale & Arpeggio 

  2. Instrument Etude ​​

Percussion Ensembles:

  1. Major Scale & Arpeggio

  2. Snare Etude (from packet)

  3. Mallet Etude (from packet)

 

Jazz Band:

  1. Blues Scale 

  2. Solo over the 12-Bar Blues Recording provided

  3. Play "Alright, Okay, You Win" with the track provided

  4. ​Drumset Only: Demonstrate these styles- Swing, Funk, Rock & Samba​
